{"id":1417,"date":"2024-02-08T17:59:33","date_gmt":"2024-02-08T15:59:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wellnessunityhub.com\/?p=1417"},"modified":"2024-02-08T17:59:33","modified_gmt":"2024-02-08T15:59:33","slug":"calendar-and-list-view","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wellnessunityhub.com\/documentation\/2024\/02\/08\/calendar-and-list-view\/","title":{"rendered":"Calendar and list view"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Calendar View<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The \u201cCalendar\u201d page is a user-friendly scheduler, it shows a reservation calendar with all scheduled appointments and events organized by employees, services, and locations. You can quickly find relevant data by using services, locations, and employee filters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button is-style-secondary\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/wellnessunityhub.com\/what-we-offer-2\/\">Back to Features<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>There are five&nbsp;<strong>available calendar views<\/strong>: \u201cMonth\u201d, \u201cWeek\u201d, \u201cDay\u201d, \u201cList\u201d, and \u201cTimeline\u201d. \u201cWeek\u201d is the&nbsp;<strong>default calendar view<\/strong>. It displays seven columns, each representing a day of the current week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can&nbsp;<strong>navigate through the&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>calendar booking system<\/strong>&nbsp;by clicking on the arrows in the top left corner of the calendar. By clicking on arrows, you can move one step forward or one step back (by a month or week for example). If the calendar is in the \u201cMonth\u201d view, it will move the calendar forward\/back one month. If the calendar is in \u201cWeek\u201d or \u201cList\u201d, it will move the calendar forward\/back one week and lastly, if the calendar is in \u201cDay\u201d or \u201cTimeline\u201d, it will move the calendar forward\/back one day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Between navigation arrows, you can click on the \u201cToday\u201d button to&nbsp;<strong>move the calendar to the current date<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can also&nbsp;<strong>move the calendar to an arbitrary date<\/strong>&nbsp;by selecting a single date in the date picker that can be opened by clicking on the arrow that is displayed next to the header\u2019s title.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Date &amp; Time formats<\/strong>&nbsp;in the calendar booking system will be used from&nbsp;\u201cWordPress Date\/Time Settings\u201d&nbsp;and the&nbsp;<strong>frequency for displaying time slots (calendar grid)<\/strong>&nbsp;on \u201cWeek\u201d, \u201cDay\u201d and \u201cTimeline\u201d calendar views will be used from&nbsp;\u201cDefault Time Slot Step\u201d&nbsp;setting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDay\u201d and \u201cTimeline\u201d view display&nbsp;<strong>employees as columns or rows<\/strong>. For the \u201cDay\u201d view employees are rendered in the headings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTimeline\u201d view provides a view with a horizontal time-axis and with employees as rows. In these two views, if an employee doesn\u2019t have an appointment for the selected date, it will not be displayed in the column or the row. Employees\u2019 breaks will be displayed in gray for these two views.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All&nbsp;<strong>blocks on the calendar<\/strong>&nbsp;are used to&nbsp;<strong>store information about appointments and events<\/strong>. Each appointment in the Calendar stores all information about your appointment or event. These blocks are used to provide information like the start and end time of an appointment, an employee assigned to it, location, service, customer(s), and status. Appointments are&nbsp;<strong>colored by the service color<\/strong>. Appointments that don\u2019t take up excessive space will not show all the information about the appointments, but you can see the information by hovering over it. As for the events, they are colored in the color that you have set in \u201cthe Customize\u201d tab for each event and marked with a small icon so you can easily differentiate them from the appointments.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wpamelia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Screen-Shot-2019-06-14-at-15.52.56.png\" alt=\"Appointment on Calendar WordPress Booking plugin\" title=\"Appointment on Calendar Amelia WordPress Booking plugin\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>Future appointments&nbsp;<strong>can be rescheduled by dragging<\/strong>&nbsp;the block in the calendar. Upon dragging, you will be asked to confirm the change of the appointment\u2019s start time. It is not possible to drag appointments into the past, outside of an employee\u2019s working hours or during an employee\u2019s breaks. You can also&nbsp;<strong>click on the appointment<\/strong>&nbsp;that is in the future&nbsp;<strong>to edit the information<\/strong>&nbsp;from the appointment\u2019s modal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">LIST VIEW<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"editing-a-single-appointment\">Editing a single appointment<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>It often happens, that you need to make changes to an existing appointment. Maybe the customer needs to reschedule their appointment, or maybe an employee is unexpectedly out of the office. To edit an existing appointment, simply click on the \u201cEdit\u201d button to the right of the appointment you want to change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The \u201cAppointment\u201d page shows&nbsp;<strong>all the information about individual appointments<\/strong>. To specify the number of records that are to be displayed, select the required number in the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/wpamelia.com\/general-settings#default-items-per-page\">\u201cDefault items per page\u201d<\/a>&nbsp;in the \u201cGeneral Settings\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the search input, you can&nbsp;<strong>search for appointments<\/strong>&nbsp;by customer\u2019s name, employee\u2019s name, or service\u2019s name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wpamelia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Search-Appointments-1.png\" alt=\"Amelia WordPress - Search Appointments\" title=\"Amelia WordPress - Search Appointments\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Your appointments can be&nbsp;<strong>exported as a CSV<\/strong>&nbsp;for reporting. At the top right of the \u201cAppointments\u201d page, next to the search input, tap the \u201cExport\u201d icon button. Clicking on the \u201cExport\u201d icon button opens a dialog that allows you to choose the delimiter used for CSV and select the columns you\u2019d like to export. When you are ready tap on the \u201cExport\u201d button in the dialog to download the CSV file.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wpamelia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Screen-Shot-2019-08-16-at-18.56.27.png\" alt=\"Export Appointments WordPress Booking Plugin\" style=\"width:326px;height:auto\" title=\"Export Appointments Amelia WordPress Booking Plugin\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>With&nbsp;<strong>filters<\/strong>&nbsp;that appear at the top of the page, you can&nbsp;<strong>narrow down appointments by common characteristics<\/strong>&nbsp;such as date, employees, customer, services, or status. The date filter is predefined by the period of seven days starting from the current date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wpamelia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Filter-Appointments.png\" alt=\"Amelia WordPress - Filter Appointments\" title=\"Amelia WordPress - Filter Appointments\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The appointments table is&nbsp;<strong>grouped by date<\/strong>&nbsp;and provides information about the appointments such as time, a customer(s), employee, service, duration, payment, and status. You can&nbsp;<strong>expand an appointment<\/strong>&nbsp;(row) by clicking on it. An expanded record shows the information about the customer\u2019s phone customer\u2019s email. You can use the \u201cStatus\u201d drop-down to change the status of all customer bookings at the time. Click the \u201cEdit\u201d button to open the \u201cEdit Appointment\u201d dialog for the chosen appointment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ou can&nbsp;<strong>delete multiple appointments<\/strong>&nbsp;at the same time by checking the appointments you want to delete. The dialog box will appear in the table footer when you check at least one appointment you want to delete.
