Creating a category is required because each service needs to be included in a category if the plugin is to work. Consequently, you\u2019ll need to create at least one category to be able to start creating the services. This option is created especially for companies that provide a large number of different services to make it easier to group them. If you are not one of those companies and you don\u2019t need to create categories, you only need to create one to use the services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading eplus-wrapper gutenify-section-7fbad940-bc63-11ee-9308-c3601f51ee6b\" id=\"adding-editing-deleting-category\">Adding, editing, and deleting Service Categories<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"eplus-wrapper gutenify-section-7fbb7580-bc63-11ee-9308-c3601f51ee6b\">On the left side of the category page, you will see an&nbsp;<strong>\u201cAdd Category\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;button. Click on the button, write the name of your category, click on the checkmark and your category will be saved. Once you\u2019ve saved a category you can always edit, duplicate or delete it later, using the buttons on the righthand side of the category card.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image eplus-wrapper\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full gutenify-section-7fc0a5a0-bc63-11ee-9308-c3601f51ee6b\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/globalfitandfood.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/add-category.png\" alt=\"Wellness Unity Hub  - add a service category\" class=\"wp-image-902\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<div style=\"height:31px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer eplus-wrapper gutenify-section-7fc141e0-bc63-11ee-9308-c3601f51ee6b\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading eplus-wrapper gutenify-section-7fc1b710-bc63-11ee-9308-c3601f51ee6b\" id=\"adding-editing-deleting-service\">Adding, editing, and deleting Services<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"eplus-wrapper gutenify-section-7fc20530-bc63-11ee-9308-c3601f51ee6b\">After you have created at least one category you can start creating the services. Click on the&nbsp;<strong>\u201cAdd Service\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;button or the&nbsp;<strong>\u201c+\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;button, and the&nbsp;<strong>\u201cNew Service\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;dialog will appear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"eplus-wrapper gutenify-section-7fc25350-bc63-11ee-9308-c3601f51ee6b\">The<strong>&nbsp;\u201cNew Service\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;dialog is divided into five tabs:<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image eplus-wrapper\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized gutenify-section-7fc2c880-bc63-11ee-9308-c3601f51ee6b\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/globalfitandfood.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/configure-services.jpg\" alt=\"Adding, editing, and deleting Services\" class=\"wp-image-905\" style=\"width:907px;height:auto\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<div style=\"height:29px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer eplus-wrapper gutenify-section-7fc33db0-bc63-11ee-9308-c3601f51ee6b\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cover eplus-wrapper has-neve-link-hover-color-color has-text-color has-link-color gutenify-section-7fc47630-bc63-11ee-9308-c3601f51ee6b wp-elements-4c3ee7611dd5c67c8f3867518b287274\" style=\"border-radius:2em;min-height:90px;aspect-ratio:unset;\"><span aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-cover__background has-nv-light-bg-background-color has-background-dim-100 has-background-dim\"><\/span><div class=\"wp-block-cover__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-cover-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p class=\"eplus-wrapper gutenify-section-7fc40100-bc63-11ee-9308-c3601f51ee6b\">Please note: Before you upload a photo make sure that your thumbnail size in the WordPress Media Settings is set to 150\u00d7150, 180\u00d7180 or 200\u00d7200.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer eplus-wrapper gutenify-section-7fc4c450-bc63-11ee-9308-c3601f51ee6b\"><\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image eplus-wrapper\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized gutenify-section-7fc587a0-bc63-11ee-9308-c3601f51ee6b\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/globalfitandfood.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/setting-up-a-service-1024x791.jpg\" alt=\"Wellness Unity Hub - thumbnails for services.\" class=\"wp-image-909\" style=\"width:467px;height:auto\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<div style=\"height:24px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer eplus-wrapper gutenify-section-7fc67200-bc63-11ee-9308-c3601f51ee6b\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"eplus-wrapper gutenify-section-7fc70e40-bc63-11ee-9308-c3601f51ee6b\"><strong>Service color<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 Click on the blue circle and you will see the color options which you can set for each service. This color will be used for differentiating services on the Calendar in the back-end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"eplus-wrapper gutenify-section-7fc7d190-bc63-11ee-9308-c3601f51ee6b\"><strong>Name<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 Here you need to write the service name, which is required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"eplus-wrapper gutenify-section-7fc894e0-bc63-11ee-9308-c3601f51ee6b\"><strong>Category<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 Here you need to select the category that this service belongs to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"eplus-wrapper gutenify-section-7fca4290-bc63-11ee-9308-c3601f51ee6b\"><strong>Show service on site \u2013&nbsp;<\/strong>Here you can choose whether the service that you create will be shown on site or not. By default, this option is enabled so services will be shown on the booking form on the front-end available for customers\u2019 booking, but if you need to have some service just for making appointments on the back-end then you can disable this option for the specific service.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image eplus-wrapper\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full gutenify-section-7fcb05e0-bc63-11ee-9308-c3601f51ee6b\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/globalfitandfood.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/set-recurring-appoint.jpg\" alt=\"Wellness Unity Hub - Show services on site\" class=\"wp-image-911\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"eplus-wrapper gutenify-section-7fcb7b10-bc63-11ee-9308-c3601f51ee6b\"><strong>Set&nbsp;recurring appointment<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 This gives you the option to enable recurring appointments for this service in a free (All), Daily, Weekly, or Monthly fashion. Once you select one of the offered selections, two new options will appear:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"eplus-wrapper gutenify-section-7fcbf040-bc63-11ee-9308-c3601f51ee6b\"><strong>Handle unavailable recurring dates<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 how the plugin will offer the replacement dates\/times if there\u2019s an unavailable time slot in the recurring list;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"eplus-wrapper gutenify-section-7fcc3e60-bc63-11ee-9308-c3601f51ee6b\"><strong>Handle recurring appointment payments&nbsp;<\/strong>\u2013 allows you to choose whether the customers will pay only for the 1st appointment, or for all appointments when booking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"eplus-wrapper gutenify-section-7fccb390-bc63-11ee-9308-c3601f51ee6b\"><strong>Employees<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 Here you select the employees that will be assigned to the service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"eplus-wrapper gutenify-section-7fcd01b0-bc63-11ee-9308-c3601f51ee6b\"><strong>Description<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 Here you can add a description that will appear on the front page if you use&nbsp;\u201cFront-end Booking Catalog\u201d. The description field supports HTML, so you can use it here in order to better customize your description.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image eplus-wrapper\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full gutenify-section-7fcd76e0-bc63-11ee-9308-c3601f51ee6b\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/globalfitandfood.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/limit-appoint-per-customer.jpg\" alt=\"Wellness Unity Hub -  limit appointments per customer\" class=\"wp-image-912\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"eplus-wrapper gutenify-section-7fcdec10-bc63-11ee-9308-c3601f51ee6b\"><strong>Limit appointments per customer<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 By enabling this option, you can limit how many appointments a customer can book within a specific time frame and period for this particular service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"eplus-wrapper gutenify-section-7fce6140-bc63-11ee-9308-c3601f51ee6b\"><strong>Duration &amp; Pricing<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 Under this tab you can configure price, duration and capacity for your services. It has the following options:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"eplus-wrapper gutenify-section-7fced670-bc63-11ee-9308-c3601f51ee6b\"><strong>Duration<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 Here you need to choose the service duration. Time slots you see in the&nbsp;<strong>\u201cDuration\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;option are based on the setting defined in the&nbsp;\u201cDefault Time Slot Step\u201d&nbsp;in&nbsp;\u201cGeneral Settings\u201d. One more option that you can set regarding the service duration is \u201cUse service duration for booking a time slot\u201d in General Settings. This option you can use if you want to make the time slot step the same as a service duration is in the booking process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"eplus-wrapper gutenify-section-7fcefd80-bc63-11ee-9308-c3601f51ee6b\"><strong>Price<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 Here you need to enter the service price. The format of the price will follow the setting from the&nbsp;\u201cPayments Settings\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"eplus-wrapper gutenify-section-7fcf4ba0-bc63-11ee-9308-c3601f51ee6b\"><strong>Custom duration and pricing&nbsp;<\/strong>\u2013 This option allows you to set more than one duration and price per service. You set one default price and duration for the service in the aforementioned options, and if you need more durations, and prices accordingly, you enable \u2018Custom duration and pricing\u2019, and set as many durations as you need for the service. Please note that the option will become available only after you set the default&nbsp;<strong>Duration<\/strong>&nbsp;of the service. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"eplus-wrapper gutenify-section-7fcf99c0-bc63-11ee-9308-c3601f51ee6b\"><strong>Enable deposit payments&nbsp;<\/strong>\u2013 This option allows you to enable deposit payments for the specific service. The option will not be visible if you set 0 as service price, but once you set a larger price the option will appear and when enabled show more options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"eplus-wrapper gutenify-section-7fcfe7e0-bc63-11ee-9308-c3601f51ee6b\"><strong>Buffer Time Before<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Buffer Time After<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 These options give you the possibility to set the time before and after the appointment that needs to be reserved so that another booking for the same service and employee would not be made. It will not be seen on the front-end, but it will reduce the number of free time slots in the schedule of the employee.<strong>&nbsp;\u201cBuffer Time Before\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;can be interpreted as the time your employee needs to prepare for appointments, while&nbsp;<strong>\u201cBuffer Time After\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;is the time after the appointment that your employee needs to rest, clean up, or do something else before being able to accept the next appointment. Like for the \u201cDuration\u201d option, the time slots you see here are based on the setting defined in the&nbsp;\u201cDefault Time Slot Step\u201d&nbsp;in&nbsp;\u201cGeneral Settings\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image eplus-wrapper\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full gutenify-section-7fd0d240-bc63-11ee-9308-c3601f51ee6b\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/globalfitandfood.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/maximum-capacity.png\" alt=\"Wellness Unity Hub - minimum maximum capacity per booking\" class=\"wp-image-913\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<div style=\"height:13px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer eplus-wrapper gutenify-section-7fd12060-bc63-11ee-9308-c3601f51ee6b\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"eplus-wrapper gutenify-section-7fd16e80-bc63-11ee-9308-c3601f51ee6b\"><strong>Minimum&nbsp;Capacity<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Maximum Capacity<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 Here you can enter the minimum and the maximum number of persons per single service booking. If your company has a need for a group appointment (for example classes, tours, group training, etc.), this is where you\u2019ll define its capacity. This option is available for every employee, so you can define a different capacity for each one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"eplus-wrapper gutenify-section-7fd19590-bc63-11ee-9308-c3601f51ee6b\"><strong>Limit the additional number of people<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 If this is enabled, you can define the&nbsp;<strong>maximum&nbsp;<\/strong>number of&nbsp;<strong>additional<\/strong>&nbsp;people that a person can bring with them when they book. For example, if the Max capacity is set to 50, you can limit so that one customer can book only for themselves + 9 people, in order to prevent a single customer from booking the entire capacity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"eplus-wrapper gutenify-section-7fd1e3b0-bc63-11ee-9308-c3601f51ee6b\"><strong>Show \u201cBringing anyone with you\u201d option<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 Here you can choose whether you want to show or hide the&nbsp;<strong>\u201cBringing anyone with you\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;option. If you hide this option from the Booking form you will only allow individuals to book a group appointment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"eplus-wrapper gutenify-section-7fd20ac0-bc63-11ee-9308-c3601f51ee6b\"><strong>Multiply price by the number of people \u2013&nbsp;<\/strong>Here you can choose whether the service and extras price will multiple by the number of people added with the \u201cBringing anyone with you\u201d option. By default, the option is enabled which means that the price multiples by the number of people added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"eplus-wrapper gutenify-section-7fd258e0-bc63-11ee-9308-c3601f51ee6b\"><strong>Gallery<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 In this tab, you can add images to your service. These images will show up on the front page of your service if you choose the&nbsp;\u201cFront-end Booking Catalog\u201d. By clicking on the&nbsp;<strong>\u201cAdd Image\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;button, you can upload images from your device or choose them from your media library. By dragging them, you can adjust their order in which they will be shown on the front page of your service. If you hover over the image you will see a trash can so single click you can delete it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"eplus-wrapper gutenify-section-7fd2ce10-bc63-11ee-9308-c3601f51ee6b\"><strong>Extras<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 Extras allow you the possibility to add additional services or products customers can buy when they are scheduling the appointment. By click on the&nbsp;<strong>\u201cAdd Extra\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;button, new options will appear:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"eplus-wrapper gutenify-section-7fd34340-bc63-11ee-9308-c3601f51ee6b\"><strong>Name<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 This is the place where you will enter a name for the extra. Besides the name, you will see the&nbsp;<strong>\u201cTranslate\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;option so you can translate extra name in multiple languages and use it on the&nbsp;multilingual website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"eplus-wrapper gutenify-section-7fd39160-bc63-11ee-9308-c3601f51ee6b\"><strong>Duration<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 If you want to define additional services and give them a duration, this is where you do it. Duration is not required because there can be extras that your customers can buy without affecting the appointment\u2019s duration (e.g. special equipment).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"eplus-wrapper gutenify-section-7fd3df80-bc63-11ee-9308-c3601f51ee6b\">When you create at least one extra, you will see an option to choose whether the extras will be mandatory in the booking process or not, and this option will show up above the extras list. If you enable the option \u201c<strong>Set extra as a mandatory field<\/strong>\u201c, you will be able to choose the minimum number of extras that will be mandatory for booking when the customer books the service they are created for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"eplus-wrapper gutenify-section-7fd42da0-bc63-11ee-9308-c3601f51ee6b\"><strong>Please note: If your extra service has a duration, you should know that currently extra time will not be multiplied by the number of persons in the booking or extras quantity, so you will see time for just one extra.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"eplus-wrapper gutenify-section-7fd454b0-bc63-11ee-9308-c3601f51ee6b\"><strong>Price<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 This is where you set a price for your extra product or service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"eplus-wrapper gutenify-section-7fd4a2d0-bc63-11ee-9308-c3601f51ee6b\"><strong>Maximum Quantity<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 Here you can set the maximum number of extras that one customer can choose in the booking process. For example, if you set 1, a customer will only be able to add one extra to the service. If you set more, your customers will be able to add a larger number.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"eplus-wrapper gutenify-section-7fd4f0f0-bc63-11ee-9308-c3601f51ee6b\"><strong>Multiply price by the number of people&nbsp;<\/strong>\u2013&nbsp;Like the Services, the extras also have the option to choose whether their price will be multiplied by the number of people in the appointment. If you disable this option the price for extra will be the same no matter what is the number of people chosen for the&nbsp;<strong>\u201cBringing anyone with you\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;option. On the other hand, if you enable this option the price will be multiplied by the number of people added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"eplus-wrapper gutenify-section-7fd58d30-bc63-11ee-9308-c3601f51ee6b\"><strong>Description<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 Like in the service dialog, this is where you add a description about this extra that will appear on the&nbsp;\u201cFront-end Booking Catalog\u201d. Same as the Extra name you can also translate the extra description using the&nbsp;<strong>\u201cTranslate\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;option beside the description and use it on a&nbsp;multilingual website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"eplus-wrapper gutenify-section-7fd60260-bc63-11ee-9308-c3601f51ee6b\">There is also a possibility to set different payment methods for each service. If, for example, you have one service for which you want your customers to pay on-site and another one that requires payment during the booking process, you can set this now. In order to see the options first, you need to enable all payment methods that you want to use in Payment Settings on the Settings page. After you\u2019ve done this, go to the Services page, open service and you will see the Settings tab. Enable the payment method that you want to have for that service and click Save.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"eplus-wrapper gutenify-section-7fd69ea0-bc63-11ee-9308-c3601f51ee6b\">There is also a possibility to set different payment methods for each service. If, for example, you have one service for which you want your customers to pay on-site and another one that requires payment during the booking process, you can set this now. In order to see the options first, you need to enable all payment methods that you want to use in Payment Settings on the Settings page. After you\u2019ve done this, go to the Services page, open service and you will see the Settings tab. Enable the payment method that you want to have for that service and click Save.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"eplus-wrapper gutenify-section-7fd6ecc0-bc63-11ee-9308-c3601f51ee6b\">After you\u2019ve entered all of the data, click&nbsp;<strong>\u201cSave\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;and your service will appear on the page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"eplus-wrapper gutenify-section-7fd73ae0-bc63-11ee-9308-c3601f51ee6b\">In the page header, you can see the total number of your services. You can have as many services and service extras as you need, and if you have a large number of services you can&nbsp;<strong>filter<\/strong>&nbsp;them by&nbsp;<strong>clicking on the category title<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cover eplus-wrapper has-neve-link-hover-color-color has-text-color has-link-color gutenify-section-7fd84c50-bc63-11ee-9308-c3601f51ee6b wp-elements-94f4c49a7bb8c311fad93ceffc52d6fc\" style=\"border-radius:2em;min-height:141px;aspect-ratio:unset;\"><span aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-cover__background has-nv-light-bg-background-color has-background-dim-100 has-background-dim\"><\/span><div class=\"wp-block-cover__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-cover-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p class=\"eplus-wrapper gutenify-section-7fd78900-bc63-11ee-9308-c3601f51ee6b\">Please note: When you edit a service and change the service capacity or price, once you click on the \u201cSave\u201d button you will see the message to choose whether you want this change to be applied only for the service or for the all assigned employees. If you choose the first option you will change a service setting and these changes will be applied only to employees created afterward. But if you choose the second option you will change this setting for all assigned employees regardless of whether they have a custom setting or not.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>To start using the bookings after the general settings are configured you must create a Service Category first.
