You can read more about this way of scheduling an appointment in these documentation sections:\n<ul class=\"gutenify-section-920fd250-bc75-11ee-b8e0-2da107100391 wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"gutenify-section-920ee7f0-bc75-11ee-b8e0-2da107100391\">\u201cFront-end Booking Search\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"gutenify-section-920f3610-bc75-11ee-b8e0-2da107100391\">\u201cFront-end Booking Catalog\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"gutenify-section-920f8430-bc75-11ee-b8e0-2da107100391\">\u201cStep-By-Step Booking Wizard\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"gutenify-section-92104780-bc75-11ee-b8e0-2da107100391\"><strong>Through the back-end<\/strong>: This approach allows admins and managers to schedule an appointment from the WordPress dashboard. This is the best way to schedule an appointment if you have a customer on the phone or have just received a message from a customer requesting an appointment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gutenify-section-9210bcb0-bc75-11ee-b8e0-2da107100391\">In this chapter, you\u2019ll see how to&nbsp;<strong>schedule appointments&nbsp;through the back-end<\/strong>. The following process for scheduling an appointment begins after you click the \u201c+ New Appointment\u201d&nbsp;button located at the top of the page or the \u201c<strong>+<\/strong>\u201d (plus icon) button in the bottom right corner of the page. Once you click on any of the buttons, a \u201cNew Appointment\u201d dialog will appear,&nbsp;allowing you to choose all necessary information in order to create a new appointment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gutenify-section-92110ad0-bc75-11ee-b8e0-2da107100391\"><strong>\u201cNew Appointment\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;dialog is&nbsp;<strong>divided into two tabs<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"gutenify-section-92118000-bc75-11ee-b8e0-2da107100391 wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"gutenify-section-921131e0-bc75-11ee-b8e0-2da107100391\"><strong>\u201cSchedule\u201d:<\/strong>&nbsp;Use this&nbsp;<strong>field that you must populate<\/strong>&nbsp;pane to create a new appointment. \u201cCustomer(s)\u201d, \u201cService\u201d, \u201cEmployee\u201d, \u201cDate\u201d, and \u201cTime\u201d are mandatory and you need to populate these fields to schedule a new appointment. There is&nbsp;<strong>no specific order<\/strong>&nbsp;in selecting \u201cCustomer(s)\u201d, \u201cService\u201d and \u201cEmployee\u201d, but&nbsp;<strong>before you can choose the appointment date,<\/strong>&nbsp;you have to populate these three fields. After selecting the date, you will be able to select the time of the appointment:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized gutenify-section-9212df90-bc75-11ee-b8e0-2da107100391\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wpamelia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Add-New-Appointment.png\" alt=\"Schedule New Appointment\" style=\"width:442px;height:auto\" title=\"Amelia WordPress - Schedule New Appointment\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<ul class=\"gutenify-section-92152980-bc75-11ee-b8e0-2da107100391 wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"gutenify-section-9213f100-bc75-11ee-b8e0-2da107100391\"><strong>\u201cCustomer(s)\u201d:<\/strong>\u00a0Here you need to\u00a0<strong>select the customer(s) to whom the service will be provided<\/strong>. If the customer is not an\u00a0<strong>existing customer<\/strong>, click the \u201c<strong>Create New<\/strong>\u201d button. The \u201c<strong>New Customer<\/strong>\u201d dialog will open and you\u2019ll be prompted to add basic details, such as the customer\u2019s first name, last name, email address.\u00a0<strong>Creating a new customer<\/strong>\u00a0is described in greater detail in the\u00a0\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/wellnessunityhub.com\/blog\/2024\/01\/26\/customers\/\">Managing single Customer<\/a>\u201d\u00a0chapter. The newly created customer will be added to the appointment.\u00a0<strong>Each selected customer represents a single customer booking<\/strong>. After selecting the customer(s) you will be able to configure the\u00a0<strong>number of persons<\/strong>\u00a0for each customer booking. This can be useful when one customer wishes to book an appointment for several people. This is possible if services allow you to have more than one customer at the same time. It is also possible to change\u00a0<strong>the booking status of each customer booking<\/strong>\u00a0separately.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter gutenify-section-1b95d0b0-bc76-11ee-b8e0-2da107100391\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wpamelia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Customers-1.png\" alt=\" Adding Customers in Appointment\" title=\"Amelia WordPress - Adding Customers in Appointment\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<ul class=\"gutenify-section-1b969400-bc76-11ee-b8e0-2da107100391 wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"gutenify-section-1b9645e0-bc76-11ee-b8e0-2da107100391\"><strong>\u201cService\u201d:<\/strong>&nbsp;Select the&nbsp;<strong>service that will be delivered<\/strong>&nbsp;to a customer(s). Once you select the service, it will narrow down to the employee and location options. Selecting an employee will narrow down to the service and location options, so you will only be able to select the&nbsp;<strong>services that the chosen employee provides<\/strong>&nbsp;and to the work location of the employee.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter gutenify-section-1b9b27e0-bc76-11ee-b8e0-2da107100391\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wpamelia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Employee.png\" alt=\"Selecting Employee in the Appointment\" title=\"Amelia WordPress - Selecting Employee in the Appointment\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<ul class=\"gutenify-section-1b9e5c30-bc76-11ee-b8e0-2da107100391 wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"gutenify-section-1b9c3950-bc76-11ee-b8e0-2da107100391\"><strong>\u201cApply Coupon\u201d:<\/strong>&nbsp;If you wish, you can add a coupon here in order to reduce the appointment price. Find and select the coupon that you want to apply for the appointment. Only&nbsp;<strong>coupons that are created for the chosen service<\/strong>&nbsp;will be available in the list. Dates won\u2019t be available until you choose the customer(s), service, and employee. To configure this option, view the \u201cNotify the customer(s) by default\u201d setting in the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/wpamelia.com\/notification-settings\/\">\u201cNotification Settings\u201d<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter gutenify-section-1ba75ce0-bc76-11ee-b8e0-2da107100391\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wpamelia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Notify-Customers.png\" alt=\"Amelia WordPress - Send Notification to Customers\" title=\"Amelia WordPress - Send Notification to Customers\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<ul class=\"gutenify-section-1ba86e50-bc76-11ee-b8e0-2da107100391 wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"gutenify-section-1ba7f920-bc76-11ee-b8e0-2da107100391\"><strong>\u201cNote (internal)\u201d<\/strong>: Here you can write a quick note to pay attention to customer(s) particular needs. This note is internal and is not visible to the customer(s).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter gutenify-section-1ba8e380-bc76-11ee-b8e0-2da107100391\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wpamelia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Note.png\" alt=\"Add quick note when scheduling Appointment\" title=\"Amelia WordPress - Add quick note when scheduling Appointment\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<ul class=\"gutenify-section-1ba9f4f0-bc76-11ee-b8e0-2da107100391 wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"gutenify-section-1ba97fc0-bc76-11ee-b8e0-2da107100391\"><strong>\u201cExtras\u201d<\/strong>: After selecting \u201cCustomer(s)\u201d, \u201cEmployee\u201d and \u201cService\u201d navigate to the \u201cExtras\u201d tab to add the&nbsp;<strong>additional service extra<\/strong>. You can configure the extra for each customer booking. Check the extra item that you want to add to the appointment and choose the quantity of the extra item. If an&nbsp;<strong>extra item is chargeable<\/strong>&nbsp;the&nbsp;<strong>price of the extra will be multiplied by the number of persons<\/strong>&nbsp;in the customer booking. If the extra item&nbsp;<strong>increases the appointment duration<\/strong>&nbsp;it is recommended to&nbsp;<strong>select an extra item before you select the appointment time<\/strong>&nbsp;because selecting extra within a duration can decrease the number of available time slots.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized gutenify-section-1baa4310-bc76-11ee-b8e0-2da107100391\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wpamelia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Extras.png\" alt=\" Selecting Appointment's Extras\" style=\"width:362px;height:auto\" title=\"Amelia WordPress - Selecting Appointment's Extras\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading gutenify-section-1baab840-bc76-11ee-b8e0-2da107100391\" id=\"editing-a-single-appointment\">Editing a single appointment<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gutenify-section-1bab2d70-bc76-11ee-b8e0-2da107100391\">It often happens, that you need to make changes to an existing appointment. Maybe the customer needs to reschedule their appointment, or maybe an employee is unexpectedly out of the office. To edit an existing appointment, simply click on the \u201cEdit\u201d button to the right of the appointment you want to change.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized gutenify-section-1babc9b0-bc76-11ee-b8e0-2da107100391\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wpamelia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Edit-Appointment-Button.png\" alt=\"Editing Existing Appointment\" style=\"width:1204px;height:auto\" title=\"Amelia WordPress - Editing Existing Appointment\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"gutenify-section-1bac65f0-bc76-11ee-b8e0-2da107100391\">Clicking on the \u201cEdit\u201d button will open the \u201cEdit Appointment\u201d dialog where you can change any appointment parameters. The difference between the \u201cEdit Appointment\u201d and \u201cNew Appointment\u201d dialogs is that the \u201cEdit Appointment\u201d dialog has the \u201cPayments\u201d tab where you can see and change payment information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gutenify-section-1bacdb20-bc76-11ee-b8e0-2da107100391\">In the&nbsp;<strong>\u201cEdit Appointment\u201d dialog<\/strong>&nbsp;you have the option to reschedule the appointment, change customer booking status, change the employee, change the service\u2026 If you are changing the date, you may see that a selected employee is not available for the newly selected date, or that the selected time slot is busy. If this occurs, simply select a different employee or choose a different time slot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gutenify-section-1bad5050-bc76-11ee-b8e0-2da107100391\">You can choose whether or not to send the customer(s) an email notification of the change, notification by checking\/unchecking the \u201cNotify the customer(s)\u201d checkbox.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gutenify-section-1bae3ab0-bc76-11ee-b8e0-2da107100391\">Once you\u2019re finished, click the \u201cSave\u201d button in the dialog footer to save your changes.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter gutenify-section-1baed6f0-bc76-11ee-b8e0-2da107100391\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wpamelia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Save-Edited-Appointment.png\" alt=\"Save Edited Appointment\" title=\"Amelia WordPress - Save Edited Appointment\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"gutenify-section-1baf7330-bc76-11ee-b8e0-2da107100391\">To&nbsp;<strong>delete an appointment<\/strong>&nbsp;from the \u201cEdit Appointment\u201d dialog, simply click on the \u201cTrash\u201d icon button and click \u201cDelete\u201d to confirm.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter gutenify-section-1bb00f70-bc76-11ee-b8e0-2da107100391\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wpamelia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Delete-Edited-Appointment.png\" alt=\"Delete Appointment\" title=\"Amelia WordPress - Delete Appointment\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"gutenify-section-1bb084a0-bc76-11ee-b8e0-2da107100391\">You can also&nbsp;<strong>duplicate the appointment<\/strong>&nbsp;by clicking on the \u201cCopy\u201d icon button. It will open a \u201cNew Appointment\u201d dialog with the same information as the duplicated appointment. You\u2019ll have to pick an available date and available time slot for the new appointment. Duplicating an appointment might be helpful when you are in a meeting with a customer, and he\/she wants a follow-up appointment for the same service and employee.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter gutenify-section-1bb120e0-bc76-11ee-b8e0-2da107100391\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wpamelia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Duplicate-Appointment.png\" alt=\" Duplicate Appointment\" title=\"Amelia WordPress - Duplicate Appointment\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading gutenify-section-1bb1bd20-bc76-11ee-b8e0-2da107100391\" id=\"list-of-appointments\">List of Appointments<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gutenify-section-1bb23250-bc76-11ee-b8e0-2da107100391\">The \u201cAppointment\u201d page shows&nbsp;<strong>all the information about individual appointments<\/strong>. To specify the number of records that are to be displayed, select the required number in the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/wpamelia.com\/general-settings#default-items-per-page\">\u201cDefault items per page\u201d<\/a>&nbsp;in the \u201cGeneral Settings\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gutenify-section-1bb2a780-bc76-11ee-b8e0-2da107100391\">With the search input, you can&nbsp;<strong>search for appointments<\/strong>&nbsp;by customer\u2019s name, employee\u2019s name, or service\u2019s name.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter gutenify-section-1bb36ad0-bc76-11ee-b8e0-2da107100391\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wpamelia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Search-Appointments-1.png\" alt=\"Search Appointments\" title=\"Amelia WordPress - Search Appointments\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"gutenify-section-1bb40710-bc76-11ee-b8e0-2da107100391\">Your appointments can be&nbsp;<strong>exported as a CSV<\/strong>&nbsp;for reporting. At the top right of the \u201cAppointments\u201d page, next to the search input, tap the \u201cExport\u201d icon button. Clicking on the \u201cExport\u201d icon button opens a dialog that allows you to choose the delimiter used for CSV and select the columns you\u2019d like to export. When you are ready tap on the \u201cExport\u201d button in the dialog to download the CSV file.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized gutenify-section-1bb4a350-bc76-11ee-b8e0-2da107100391\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wpamelia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Screen-Shot-2019-08-16-at-18.56.27.png\" alt=\"Export Appointments\" style=\"width:383px;height:auto\" title=\"Export Appointments Amelia WordPress Booking Plugin\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"gutenify-section-1bb53f90-bc76-11ee-b8e0-2da107100391\">With&nbsp;<strong>filters<\/strong>&nbsp;that appear at the top of the page, you can&nbsp;<strong>narrow down appointments by common characteristics<\/strong>&nbsp;such as date, employees, customer, services, or status. You can&nbsp;<strong>expand an appointment<\/strong>&nbsp;(row) by clicking on it. An expanded record shows the information about the customer\u2019s phone customer\u2019s email.
